The Coppa Messina 1932 took place on May 15, 1932 on a circuit near the Sicilian city ​​of Messina .

The race

Just three days after the Coppa della Colonnetta , which ended with the overall victory of Mario Tadini , the Coppa Messina took place in 1932. The long-distance race on public roads was the second sports car race of its kind in Sicily alongside the Targa Florio in 1932 . The circuit near Messina was 52 kilometers long and had to be tackled eight times. The Scuderia Ferrari , for Tadini in Chieti was at the start, had only two days to bring four works cars to Messina. In the small starting field, the Scuderia-Alfa-Romeo could not be beaten. After almost five hours of driving, Pietro Ghersi won ahead of his teammates Antonio Brivio and Guido d'Ippolito .
