Cor Hendriks

Cor Hendriks (born December 29, 1934 - January 21, 2016 ) was a Dutch football player .

Athletic career

Hendriks came from the youth of Sparta Rotterdam . He made his adult debut for the club in 1955; the following year he won the regional championship with the team supervised by coach Denis Neville . This was equivalent to qualifying for the newly founded Eredivisie . In 1958 he won with the team at the side of Peet Geel , Rinus Terlouw , Koos Verbeek and Tinus Bosselaar with the KNVB Cup, his first national title, which was followed by the Dutch championship title in the 1958/59 season .

In 1961, Hendriks moved to local rivals Excelsior Rotterdam , who played in the second division, and later moved on to the amateur club RKSV Leonidas .

After the end of his active career, Hendriks was particularly involved in youth work at his home club Sparta and received several awards for this.
