Rinus Terlouw (born June 16, 1922 in Capelle aan den IJssel , † December 16, 1992 ibid), called the Iron Rinus , was a Dutch football player .

Terlouw began his career with the club DCV in Krimpen aan den IJssel and moved to Sparta Rotterdam in 1949 , for which the defender played 248 games. He was also used in 34 games for the Dutch national team from 1948 to 1954. With the Dutch selection he also took part in the Olympic Games in 1948 and 1952. In 1958 he ended his career and returned to DCV as a coach.

In 1965 he stopped all football activities in order to fully join the Old Reformed church in the Netherlands. This led to the fact that he broke off almost all contact with the worldly outside world.
