Corinna Herold (born November 26, 1961 in Eisfeld ) is a German dentist and politician ( AfD ). She has been a member of the Thuringian state parliament since 2014 .

Life

Herold studied dentistry at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena from 1982 to 1988 . Until 1990 she was employed in a state outpatient clinic in Neudietendorf . In 1992 she started her own practice. Herold is divorced and has one grown son. She lives in Erfurt .

politics

Herold has been a member of Alternative für Deutschland since April 2013 and an assessor in the Central Thuringia District Association since December 2013. In May 2014 she was elected to the city council of Erfurt for the AfD . In the state elections in 2014 and in 2019 she moved about the country's list of the AFD in the Thuringian Parliament one. In March 2015 she signed the Erfurt resolution .

In October 2015, Herold's parliamentary inquiry to the Thuringian state government about the number of homosexuals, bisexuals and transsexuals in Thuringia caused a stir in the national media.

In February 2016, Herold took over the chairmanship of the Central Thuringia District Association.

Positions

Herold is against the "poaching of skilled workers at the expense of the countries of origin" in order to counteract the local shortage of skilled workers , and instead wants to make it easier for migrants already living in Germany to gain access to the domestic labor market .
