She is best known in Germany with The Discovery of Laziness (original title: Bonjour Paresse ). After the publication of the book, which was translated into thirty languages and became a bestseller with more than half a million copies sold worldwide, her employer fired her, but was hired again after public objections. The discovery of laziness

In this book, Corinne Maier uses illustrative examples to reveal the company as a center for thrashing phrases , as a realm of the absurd , in which action is often the ultimate goal of action:

"Since the company (...) just as little as society understands how to gather people behind it, it artificially creates a 'big family' by setting signs in the world with which the employees should identify."

"The ultimate goal of the company is to get employees to do things all by themselves that would normally have to be imposed on them from outside."

Corinne Maier comes to the conclusion that you should do as little as possible in your working life , because you don't get any advantages from working, only effort that is not properly rewarded. It gives readers tips on how to most effectively before working press can, without notice, and still make it appear to work successfully to professionally improve.
