Teresa Maria Coriolano
Teresa Maria Coriolano (* around 1620 in Bologna ; † after 1670 there) was an Italian engraver and painter .
Life
Teresa Maria Coriolano was the daughter of the engraver Bartolomeo Coriolano , from whom she learned the art of engraving . She studied painting at the academy founded by Elisabetta Sirani in Bologna for female students only.
Only one small etching is known of her graphic works, depicting a seated Madonna and Child as a half-length figure. She made numerous paintings for customers from Bologna, Modena and Rome, but none of her paintings can be traced today.
