To the east, the distribution area extends to the Far East. In Central Europe it is the most common species of the genus Coriomeris , it is widespread and not rare. It is much more common in the south than in the northern lowlands. In Great Britain it is common in the south and occurs north to Yorkshire . Dry, warm, open habitats are settled.

The animals live on legumes (Fabaceae). The nymphs stay almost without exception on the ground, the adults like to fly around in warm weather and are often found in the herb layer. The adults hibernate, at least in Eastern Europe the nymphs hibernate too. From the end of April the first hibernators appear again. The females lay their eggs individually from May to July and lay them under the food plants. The nymphs appear from June to August, the adults of the new generation can be found from the end of July or August. Freshly skinned adults can be seen well into September.
