Ekkehard security guard
Ekkehard Wachmann (born December 20, 1937 in Reinbek ) is a German entomologist . He's a specialist in bed bugs .
Life
Ekkehard Wachmann studied zoology , botany and biochemistry at the University of Hamburg , the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel and the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen . He was in 1965 with the Tübingen University dissertation on a developmental biological topic for Dr. rer. nat. PhD : "Studies on the developmental physiology of the complex eye of the wax moth Galleria mellonella L. " Dozens of his scientific publications deal with insect eyes , to which he also contributed a large number of microscopic works. From 1965 to 1967 he was a research assistant at the Zoological Institute in Freiburg im Breisgau , from 1967 to 1971 he was an academic councilor at the Free University of Berlin , and from 1971 to 2003 a university professor there.
Ekkehard Wachmann is the author of a number of scientific and popular science works, including several nature guides on the Central European insect fauna . His main work is the multi-volume standard work Wanzen , written together with Albert Melber and Jürgen Deckert , which is published by the Kelterner Verlag Goecke & Evers.
