Cornelia (saint)

Cornelia , also Kornelia , was an early church martyr . According to tradition, she lived in Tunis, North Africa . She suffered martyrdom at the time of the persecution of Christians around the year 300, together with Anesius, Felix, Theodulus, Portus, Abdas and Valeria in Carthage or Tunis. Cornelia and her companions are mentioned in the Martyrologium Romanum . In the Catholic Church they are venerated as saints .

The feast day of St. Cornelia and her companions in the liturgy is March 31st. In Christian iconography , Cornelia is represented with the attribute of the martyr's palm .

In St. Malo in Brittany , some relics of St. Cornelia are located.
