Cornelia Camichel Bromeis

Cornelia Camichel Bromeis (born December 16, 1970 ) is a Swiss Reformed pastor.

Life

Cornelia Camichel grew up bilingual German and Romansh in Grisons Tiefencastel , attended the teacher training college in Chur and taught for two years at the comprehensive school in Guarda . She then studied theology in Basel, Bern and Freiburg and was a pastor in Chur before moving to her current pastor in Davos- Platz. She is married to Ernst Bromeis and has three children.

She also became known as the spokesperson for the «Pled sin via», the Romansh «word for Sunday» by Radiotelevisiun Svizra Rumantscha .

Church leadership functions in Graubünden

Camichel was church councilor of the Evangelical Reformed Church in Graubünden from 2007 to 2013 and was elected the first dean of Graubünden in June 2014. She has presided over the Graubünden Synod since January 1, 2015 and is again an ex officio member of the Council of Churches. She has also been a member of the board of the Reformed Media , the media company of the German-speaking Swiss Reformed churches, since 2016 .
