Cornelia Füeg
Cornelia Füeg-Hitz (born June 5, 1941 in Zurich ; resident in Hauenstein-Ifenthal and Olten ) is a former Swiss politician ( FDP ). She was the first national councilor and first member of the government of the Canton of Solothurn.
Füeg is a qualified farmer and lawyer . She was mayor of Wisen for four years . In 1973 she was elected as one of the first six women to the Solothurn Cantonal Council. From 1975 to 1983 she was the first woman from Solothurn to be a member of the National Council. From 1988 to 1997 she was the first woman to be a member of the government of the canton of Solothurn and headed the building department.
Cornelia Füeg is married and has four children.
