The Corumbá reservoir ( Portuguese : Lago de Corumbá, Represa Corumbá I ) is located in the south of the Brazilian state of Goiás .
Its 90 m high dam is located about 30 km south of Caldas Novas on the lower reaches of the Rio Corumbá , just before it flows into the Itumbiara reservoir . The northern end of the lake is about 6 km from the city center of Caldas Nova. The lake forms the border between the municipalities of Caldas Novas in the west and Ipameri and Corumbaíba in the east.
The hydropower plant has three vertical Francis turbines with a total output of 375 MW nominal.
