Cory Jerome Aldridge (born June 13, 1979 in San Angelo , Texas ) is a retired American baseball player in Major League Baseball (MLB). He played in the position of outfielder .
Career
Atlanta Braves
Aldridge was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the fourth round of the 1997 MLB Draft .
Aldridge played eight games for the Braves in the 2001 season. He had no hits in five at-bats , with four strikeouts .
Omaha Royals
In 2008 he played with Triple-A Team Omaha Royals, a farm team for the Kansas City Royals .
Greenville Jacks
Aldridge played 115 games with the Greenville Jacks in 2009. He had a batting average of .292 with 31 home runs and 102 RBIs .
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
In 2010 he was called up to play in the outfield by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim . He scored his first MLB hit against the Oakland Athletics , an RBI triple.
Nexen Heroes
Aldridge spent the 2011 season with the Nexen Heroes, a team from the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO).
Baltimore Orioles
On January 28, 2012, he signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles . However, he did not stay on the team, but began the 2012 season in the Mexican League before he received a minor league contract from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Toronto Blue Jays
On June 24, 2014, Aldridge was acquired by the Toronto Blue Jays . On July 4th, he was promoted from the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats to the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons .
