Cory Stephen Jane (born February 8, 1983 ) is a New Zealand rugby union player in the position of the outer three quarters and goalkeeper .

biography

Career

Jane began his professional career in 2003 with the Hawke's Bay provincial team in the New Zealand National Provincial Championship (NPC) rugby union championship . Since 2005 he has been playing for the Wellington Province RFU . With her, Jane reached the championship finals four times in a row in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, but strangely enough, each time she failed. He was also part of the New Zealand national rugby team of seven, which won the 2006 Commonwealth Games in rugby seven . He also played for the New Zealand Māori that same year . Because of his good performance, he was appointed to the squad of the Hurricanes in 2007 , who play in the Super 14 international rugby championship . In his first season he played in all 13 games. With the Hurricanes, Jane reached the semi-finals of the competition in 2008 and 2009. However, they lost both games. With Wellington he won the Ranfurly Shield on September 20, 2008 against Auckland , which the team was able to defend six times until August 29, 2009 before losing it to Canterbury .

All blacks

After Cory Jane was not selected for the November 2006 tour of the New Zealand national team (All Blacks) despite good form , he got his first chance in the jersey of the All Blacks on the November 2008 tour when he played in the fourth game of the Bledisloe Cup against Australia in Hong Kong was substituted on. In 2009 he was reassigned to the squad for the June international matches and was on the starting line-up for the first time against France on June 13, 2009. Jane was also on the starting line-up for the last game of the Tri Nations in 2009 , where he made his first attempt in an international match as part of the resurgent All Blacks and was celebrated by the media for his performance. Since the end of 2009 he has been an integral part of the national team's core formation.
