Cory Weeds' Cellar Jazz Club is a jazz club in Vancouver .

Cory Weeds' Cellar Jazz Club (also The Cellar Restaurant & Jazz Club , 3611 West Broadway, Vancouver) is a jazz club whose name refers to the former Cellar Jazz Club of the 1950s and early 1960s. This was at 2514 Watson Street, existed until 1963 and experienced u. a. Appearances by Don Cherry , Paul Bley , Art Pepper , Dave Pike , Ornette Coleman , Charles Mingus and Barney Kessel . In the successor club, which has existed since 2000, a. a. Recordings by Mike LeDonne ( Speak , 2012), Brian Lynch ( Fuchsia / Red ), Kevin Dean ( Ubiquitous , 2011), Joel Haynes / Seamus Blake ( Transitions ), Lewis Nash ( Highest Mountain , 2012), as well as local musicians such as Ernesto Cervini, Jennifer Scott ( Live at The Cellar ) and Amanda Tosoff.

In addition to the closure of the recently deficit jazz club, the ex-owner and tenor saxophonist Weeds is now running the record label Cellar Live . In 2014 it released the Champian Fulton album : Change Partners: Live at the Yardbird Suite (with Jodi Proznick (b), Julian MacDonough (dr) and Cory Weeds (ts)).
