Cosmic Artists is an entertainment company in the acrobatics and artistry sector that was founded in 2001 in Berlin and is based there. In addition to the founder Tony Mevius, the team consists of a pool of artists, acrobats and other artists who are deployed depending on the project.

Cosmic Artists focuses on customer-specific productions , both for industrial and commercial companies, as well as for advertising , television shows and sporting events. In addition, the team offers a repertoire of different show acts for galas and company celebrations.

history

Cosmic Artists was founded in 2001 by Tony Mevius and Jan-Peter Nikiferow as a GbR . Both are former professional athletes in artistic gymnastics and were looking for a way to apply their sporting skills after their sporting careers . They also looked for reinforcement in competitive sports and formed a team of gymnasts, acrobats, trampoline jumpers, martial artists and rhythmic gymnasts, including the fourth place in the group at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Jeanine Fissler. At the beginning, the repertoire was limited to floor and partner acrobatics, black light and jump acrobatics shows (Cosmic Artists were one of the first teams to use the airtrack as show equipment). Today there are over ten standard acts, which also include aerial artistry, trampo walls and shadow shows.

In 2005 Tony Mevius was the first German artistic gymnast to go to the Cirque du Soleil and worked on the globally touring show Quidam until 2011. Nevertheless, he remained managing director, but from 2006 with Stefan Herbrich as a new business partner and business economist , who at that time was already an artist of the Cosmic Artists and shared the same sporting career.

In 2016 Stefan Herbrich left Cosmic Artists and founded Icke Performers, which is part of Icke Lifestyle Performance GmbH. The majority of the artists who had previously performed for Cosmic Artists for years also moved to this new entertainment department.
