Courosame

The courosame was a measure of length in the French East Indies . The measure was the league hour . The names of the dimensions are used in the French spelling.

A smaller measure was the coupoudoutouram and it counted

  • 1 coupoudoutouram = 200 vilcadés
  • 4 coupoudoutouram = 1 najiguré = 800 vilcadés = 1663.18 meters

The measurements were derived from one degree on the equator and so it was 6.68 Yosanes or 8.91 Cadames or 26.72 Courosame.
