Courosame

The courosame was a measure of length in the French East Indies . The measure was the league hour . The names of the dimensions are used in the French spelling.

• 1 Courosame / hour = 2 ½ Najigurés = 2000 Vilcadés = 4157.96 meters (around 4158 meters)
• 3 Courosame = 1 Cadame = 6000 Vilcadés = 12.474 kilometers
• 4 Courosame = 1 Yosane = 10 Najigurés = 8000 Vilcadés = 16.632 kilometers

A smaller measure was the coupoudoutouram and it counted

• 1 coupoudoutouram = 200 vilcadés
• 4 coupoudoutouram = 1 najiguré = 800 vilcadés = 1663.18 meters

The measurements were derived from one degree on the equator and so it was 6.68 Yosanes or 8.91 Cadames or 26.72 Courosame.
