Courtney Lee Sarault (born April 24, 2000 in Grand Rapids ) is a Canadian short tracker .

Career

Sarault started internationally for the first time at the 2017 Junior World Championships in Innsbruck . There she took 39th place in the all-around competition and fourth place with the relay. The following year she won the silver medal in the all- around competition and the gold medal with the relay at the Junior World Championships in Tomaszów Mazowiecki . She made her debut in the World Cup at the beginning of the 2018/19 season in Calgary . There she came fourth over 1000 m, third place with the relay and second place over 1500 m. At the 2019 Junior World Championships in Montreal , she won the bronze medal with the relay. In February 2019 she was second with the mixed relay at the World Cup in Turin . The following month she won the bronze medal with the relay at the World Championships in Sofia and took 23rd place in the all- around competition.

In the 2019/20 season, Sarault won her first World Cup victory with the relay in the World Cup in Shanghai . In addition, she took second place twice and third place once with the relay. In the individual races she came three times in second and once in third place and thus reached seventh place in the World Cup over 1000 m and sixth place in the World Cup over 1500 m. At the Four Continents Championships in Montreal in 2020 , she won the bronze medal in the 500 m and all-around competitions and the silver medal in the 1000 m and the relay.
