Courtney Trouble
Courtney Trouble (born September 15, 1982 ) is an American porn actress and director .
Life
Trouble grew up in Tacoma , Washington . Her father was a single parent. In her own estimation, this meant that she lacked a female caregiver and, in retrospect, sees herself as a tomboy . As a teenager she was bisexual . When she was 18, she started working on a phone sex hotline.
She attended a photography school and founded the website Nofauxxx.com in March 2002 with the aim of making authentic pornography that differs from the mainstream and also from old porn . In this context, she coined the term queer porn . While Nofauxxx.com is regularly referred to as the first queer porn website, according to Trouble itself there were two other websites with similar concepts in 2002, but they do not use the term queer .
In 2009 her film Seven Minutes in Heaven: Coming Out , which is considered the first queer gonzo porn, as well as Roulette , which was shown at the Berlin Porn Film Festival, among others . Since then, Courtney Trouble films have regularly featured in the festival's program, including the sequels Roulette Berlin , Roulette Dirty South and Roulette Toronto . She was also involved in Fucking Different XXX . In 2010 Trouble was a member of the jury that awarded the short film prize at the Berlin Porn Film Festival.
