Covadonga Publishing House
The Covadonga Verlag is one of cycling literature specialized publishing house based in Bielefeld .
The publishing house was founded by Rainer Sprehe in 2002 and has since published around 60 books, most of them on the subject of cycling. The publishers' authors include Hans Blickensdörfer , Helmer Boelsen , Udo Bölts , Laurent Fignon , Renate Franz , Rolf Gölz , Albert Londres , Graeme Obree , Kurt Stöpel and Peter Winnen .
In 2012 the publisher published the book Alles Rower? A Wessi on a journey to peace , whose author is Sprehe himself. In it he tells the story of the International Peace Ride on the basis of his own racing bike ride lasting several weeks on the trail of the race, also known as Course de la Paix , and today's reality along the route.
The name of the publisher Covadonga goes back to the Spanish town of the same name, which is known beyond the borders of Spain primarily for cycling, but also as a destination for pilgrimages and for the nearby Covadonga lakes in the Parque Nacional de Picos de Europa in Asturias is.
