Coyang

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The (the) Coyang , Kojang , Dutch Koijan, also just Cojan , was a measure of volume and weight. It was regionally different in size, use and the associated smaller dimensions (dimensional chains). If you compare the rice coyang with 45 picul and the salt coyang with 63 picul in Calcutta or Penang , the difference becomes clear. The picul is the Chinese one.
