Craig Anthony Lindfield (born September 17, 1988 in Birkenhead ) is an English football player . The striker and academy graduate of Liverpool FC is currently under contract with the English club FC United of Manchester .

career

Lindfield joined Liverpool FC's youth department at the age of eight . The striker helped his club's youth team to two FA Youth Cup triumphs in 2006 and 2007 and scored a total of twelve times. In addition, he was part of the reserve team that won the championship title in 2008.

The breakthrough in the first team of the "Reds" was a long time coming; he came to match practice only at loan clubs from November 2007. This initially included Notts County , where he succeeded on November 3, 2007 after 23 minutes his first professional goal in a 2-0 win over Accrington Stanley . Further stations of the fast-paced seven-time England U-19 international were then Chester City , AFC Bournemouth and most recently Accrington Stanley, before moving to fourth division Macclesfield Town in January 2010 on a free transfer . "CL7" has been under contract with FC United of Manchester since June 2014.
