Crildumersiel is a village in the municipality of Wangerland in the district of Friesland in the north of Lower Saxony .
geography
The place is about two kilometers north of the coastal town of Hooksiel . The North Sea is about one kilometer away to the east. The Crildumer Tief runs through the village .
history
The former Sielort was created in the course of the dike in the Crildum Bay . Further dikes made the sewer superfluous and therefore broken off.
fauna
Directly on the dike at Crildumersiel is a small but easily visible flood resting place for different birds. In addition to red and greenshanks , oystercatchers and curlews, in particular whimbrels can be seen .
