Cristóbal de Villalpando
Cristóbal de Villalpando (* 1649 in Mexico City ; † August 20, 1714 there ) was a New Spanish painter of the American Baroque .
De Villalpando, who was heavily influenced by Juan de Valdés Leal in his work , painted several pictures and frescoes that can be seen today in several Mexican cathedrals, for example in the Catedral de México in Mexico City, in the Catedral de Querétaro in Santiago de Querétaro and in the Catedral de Puebla in Puebla .
He was married to María de Mendoza since 1669, with whom he had four children.
