Cristian Stellini (born April 27, 1974 in Busto Arsizio ) is an Italian football player .

Career

Cristian Stellini began his career in 1992 at Novara Calcio , for whose team he made his first appearances in the fourth-highest division. Two years later, the defender signed for the third division SPAL Ferrara . There he immediately established himself as an important part of the team and secured a regular place. In 1996 Stellini moved to Ternana Calcio , with whom he rose from the fourth-rate series C2 to the series B within two years . At his next station, Como Calcio , he was again able to record several successes and rose with the team from Serie C1 to Serie A within two years .

After a season in the top division, however, the soaring was stopped and the team was relegated to Serie B. The defender then signed for FC Modena , where he was only used sporadically. In January 2004 they sold him to the then second division club CFC Genua . He finished the 2004/05 season with the Genoese in first place in Serie B and would have been promoted back to the top division. However, due to match-fixing, the club was sentenced to relegation to Serie C1. Within two years, during which Stellini received regular appearances, he returned to Serie A.

In the summer of 2007, the defender decided to leave the club and then agreed to work with AS Bari . After the 2007/08 season ended with a placement in the middle of the table, a year later the Apulians were promoted to the top division. At the end of the 2009/10 season, his contract was not extended.
