Wang Xiuting

Wang Xiuting ( Chinese  王 秀婷 , Pinyin Wáng Xiùtíng ; born May 11, 1965 in Shandong Province ) is a former Chinese long-distance runner .

Career

In 1986 she won gold at the Asian Games in Seoul over 10,000 m . The following year she was eighth over the same distance at the World Athletics Championships in Rome , while she was eliminated over 3000 m in the heat.

At the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, she was seventh over 10,000 m and failed over 3000 m in the preliminary round.

She also won silver over 10,000 m at the Asian Games in Beijing and bronze at the 1991 World Cup in Tokyo . In the same year she won the Okayama half marathon in a national record time.

In 1992 she finished fifth in the Osaka Women's Marathon and sixth in the Barcelona Olympic Games over 10,000m, and in 1993 she won the silver medal in 10,000m in the East Asian Games and was second in the Beijing Marathon .

In 1987 she won the Chinese national games over 5000 m and 10,000 m, and in 1989 she became Chinese champion over 3000 m. On the track she set a national record over 3000 m, two over 5000 m and three over 10,000 m.

Wang Xiuting is 1.64 m tall and weighed 48 kg when she was active.
