Cristina Grigoraș (born April 25, 1990 in Huși , Romania ) is a Romanian rower . She is a four-time European champion and was an Olympian for Romania.

Career

Grigoraş began rowing in 2005. Just two years later, she took part in the Junior World Championships, where she immediately won a gold medal with the Romanian eighth . In 2008 there was a silver medal in two without a helmsman in the juniors. After growing out of the junior age, she rowed with two medals at world class championships between 2009 and 2011 in the U23 area. From 2009, however, Grigoraș was also used in the open age group when she won a bronze medal in the double foursome at the European Championships . Starting in 2011, she made it into the open women's eighth for three years in a row and won an EM title every year in this boat class . In 4th place in eighth place at the 2012 Olympic Summer Games , she also rowed.

In the new Olympic cycle, Grigoraş started not only in eighth at the 2013 European Championships , but also with Andreea Boghian in twos without a helmsman . Here, too, won an EM title. At the World Championships , she finished eighth in silver. In 2014 Grigoraș won silver at the European Championships with Laura Oprea , and at the World Championships in Amsterdam she took two fourth places in eighth and in twos without a helmsman.

Grigoraș starts for the Olimpia Bucharest CS club . At a height of 1.83 m, her competition weight is around 72 kg.
