Cristine Spătaru (born February 4, 1986 in Oneşti ) is a former Romanian bobsleigh athlete and athlete who also competed for Bulgaria and Germany .

Born in Romania, she began her sports career as a track and field athlete. At the 2001 World Youth Championships in Debrecen, she reached fourth place in the long jump , equidistant with bronze medalist Angela Dies from Germany. Two years later at the Youth World Championships in Sherbrooke Spătaru won both the long jump and the triple jump, the gold medal, where they won with 6.41 m and 13.86 m each with championship records. At the Junior European Championships shortly afterwards in Tampare she won silver in the triple jump and in the same month she won the European Youth Olympic Festivalin Paris gold in the long jump. Because of an injury before the 2004 Olympic Games, she was no longer able to build on her successes. She even tried a change of discipline to the 400 m hurdles, but could not succeed.

In 2007 Spătaru switched to bobsleigh and started pushing Maria Spirescu , also a native Romanian, for the Bulgarian Federation. The duo achieved several podium places in the European Cup and a victory in Cesena, which they won the overall standings. At the 2008 Bobsleigh World Championship in Altenberg, the two landed on 15th place.

After two years, Spătaru went to Germany and trained with Sandra Kiriasis , the 2006 Olympic champion, and competed for the German association. As Claudia Schramm's pusher , she finished tenth at the 2009 World Cup races in Park City and, as Anja Schneiderheinze's pusher , she won the 2010 European Cup in Cesana.

Finally, between 2011 and 2013, Spătaru started for her home country Romania. Her best World Cup placements for the Romanian Federation were 14th in the race in Altenberg with driver Carmen Tronescu in 2012 and 12th in 2013 with Oana Diaconu also in Altenberg. At the 2013 Bobsleigh World Championships in St. Moritz, she finished 22nd with Diaconu.
