The 85th Critérium International 2016 was a road bike race in France on the island of Corsica . The stage race took place from 26 to 27. March 2016 instead. It was part of the UCI Europe Tour 2016 and was classified there in the UCI category 2.HC.
Overall winner was Thibaut Pinot , who won both the individual time trial of the second stage and the mountain finish of the second stage. The race was overshadowed by the death of 22-year-old cyclist Daan Myngheer , who suffered a heart attack on the first stage .
