The Crna reka [ ˈʦr̩na ˈrɛka ] ( Macedonian Црна Река ; short also just Crna , German: "Black River"; in ancient times Erigon) is a tributary of the Vardar in North Macedonia , which drains into the Aegean Sea.
The river is a right tributary of the Vardar. Its length is 207 kilometers. Its source is near the village of Želesnec at an altitude of 760 meters. The Crna flows into the Vardar near the village of Vozarci .
The tributaries of the Crna are Dragor , Jelaška reka , Belašica and Blato .
The Crna floodplain in the Crna Marshes east of Bitola was an important marshland and breeding area for hundreds of Dalmatian pelicans , great white pelicans and other water birds until it was drained in 1959 .
