Crna Trava ( Serbian - Cyrillic Црна Трава ) is a small village with about 563 inhabitants and the administrative seat of Opština Crna Trava in southwest Serbia just a few kilometers from the Bulgarian border. The name of the village translates as "black grass".
geography
Crna Trava is a mountain village at an altitude of about 1000 meters above sea level. It is located in the valley of the Vlasina about ten kilometers north of the dam of the Vlasina lake . The village is surrounded by the mountains belonging to the Balkan Mountains Čemernik in the west, Gramada in the east and Ostrozub in the north, each with summit heights of around 1700 m. i. J. .
