Curd Brand

Kurt Waldemar August Georg Arthur Brand , also Curd Brand , (born December 29, 1892 in Strasbourg ; † July 14, 1971 in Maulbronn ) was a National Socialist functionary with the rank of SS brigade leader .

Curd Brand belonged to the newly founded Guard Cavalry Rifle Division in 1918. He later joined the NSDAP ( membership number 182.777) and the SS (SS number 3.870) as a doctor of general practitioners . In 1930 he became SS-Sturmbannführer and the following year SS-Standartenführer . As such, he took over the 24th SS standard "Ostfriesland". In 1935 he was promoted to councilor in Oldenburg and on January 30, 1936 to SS-Oberführer . At that time he was on the staff of Section XIV. In 1938 Brand was Gauamtsleiter of the Racial Political Office in Gau Oldenburg. During the Second World War he was promoted to brigade leader.
