Kai Curry-Lindahl

Kai Curry-Lindahl (born May 10, 1917 in Stockholm , † December 5, 1990 ) was a Swedish zoologist and author of scientific papers.

Curry-Lindahl was employed by Stockholm University from 1966 to 1969 and took an active part in the animal welfare debate at the time . In addition, from 1953 to 1974 he was head of the natural history department of the Skansen open-air museum . As a visiting professor, he lectured at the North American universities in Berkeley, California (1974–1983) and Toronto , Canada ( University of Guelph-Humber , 1974–1978). From 1974 he was an advisor for the UN organizations UNESCO , FAO , and UNEP as well as for around 35 African countries, where he had an office in Nairobi . For a long time he was tied to the Swedish Environment Secretariat.
