The Curt Mezger Square is a place in the Munich district Milbertshofen at the Schleißheimerstraße corner Keferloherstraße.
description
The square was named after him on March 8, 2007 in memory of Curt Mezger . The Milbertshofen Culture House and the Protestant Church of Thanks are right on the square . In 2008 a redesign of the " Socially Integrative City " funding program created a district center in Milbertshofen. The open design of the square offers enough open space for flea and weekly markets and other events. A weekly market takes place every Friday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. For the surfaces, the architects chose a continuous "pattern" made of light granite of different widths and dark artificial stone slabs. The tree population was largely preserved. 19 trees were planted on the square and along Schleißheimer Straße. The green area was supplemented by hedge polygons with assigned seating. Only a single tree was deliberately planted on the square in front of the cultural center. It is a multi-stemmed tulip tree that forms an umbrella-shaped shadow with its sprawling crown.
