Curvada

Curvada (from Latin servitia , curvadae = labor service) is a Middle Latin term that was documented in the 13th and 14th centuries and referred to (community) compulsory service . The Middle High German equivalent was Corweide , French Corvée .

In addition, curvada also meant the arable field itself, which the farmers had to cultivate for their landlords . The name of the Trier district of Kürenz is said to be derived from this term.
