Cuvée des Trolls in the characteristic glass

The Cuvée des Trolls is a strong beer (7 % alcohol by volume ) that is brewed both in the Dubuisson brewery in Pipaix , Belgium and in the micro-brewery "Brasse-Temps" in Louvain-la-Neuve and Mons . His logo is a little troll with a pointed nose and a green hat in the shape of a hop blossom.

Characteristics

"Cuvée des Trolls" is brewed from barley malt and hops and dried orange peel are added. The wort is made with top-fermenting yeast and fermented at temperatures around 23 ° C for one week. The beer from the Brasse-Temps brewery, however, is not clarified. This leaves a little yeast that is served to consumers.

The beer is bottled as well as in kegs.

history

The “Cuvée des Trolls” has been brewed since September 2000 in the micro-brewery “Brasse-Temps”, which was founded by the Dubuisson brewery in Louvain-la-Neuve. A second “Brasse-Temps” brewery was founded in Mons in 2003, which in 2005 achieved a production of 5000 hectoliters.
