Cyclone Temple was an American thrash metal band that was formed in Chicago , Illinois in 1989 and broke up in 1994.
history
The band was formed in 1989 when the speed metal band Znöwhite broke up. Guitarist Greg Fulton (aka Ian Tafoya ), bassist Scott Schafer and drummer John Slattery were previously members of this band. Brian Troch joined the band as a new member. The band signed a contract with Combat Records and released their debut album I Hate Therefore I Am in 1991 . Singer Troch was replaced by Marco Salinas in 1993. The EP Building Errors in the Machine was released that same year. In 1994 the album My Friend Lonely followed with a new singer named Sonny DeLuca. The album contains songs that were released a year earlier on the EP Building Errors in the Machine and were re-recorded for this album. New songs can also be heard on the album. The band broke up in the same year. Greg Fulton founded the band Rebels Without Applause , DeLuca briefly worked with the nu-metal bands Soil and From Zero .
style
Cyclone Temple play classic Thrash Metal that is comparable to that from the San Francisco Bay Area of the 1980s. The band is compared to other thrash metal bands of the time such as Testament , Forbidden , Death Angel , Exodus , Megadeth and Metallica .
