The Czarna Woda [ ˈt͡ʂarna ˈvɔda ] ( German Czernau ) is an approximately 25 km long coastal river in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship , which flows into the Baltic Sea east of the village of Karwia (Karwen) .

The entire river bed of the Czarna Woda from the headwaters to the confluence with the Baltic Sea is located in the former West Prussia .

The Czarna Woda rises southwest of the village Świecino (Schwetzin) in the forest near Starzyno (Starsiner forest district ) , about 20 kilometers west-northwest of Puck (Putzig) . It first flows north through a large rift and then turns north in the narrow valley between the Ostrauer Kämpe and the Schwarzauer Kämpe , then westwards between the Ostrauer Kämpe and the dune chain on the Baltic Sea beach and flows towards the village of Ostrowo (Ostrau) and from there to the north in the Baltic Sea.

The catchment area of ​​the Czarna Woda is about 85 square kilometers, its flow rate at the mouth is about 0.6 m³ of water per second.
