Cerrad Czarni Radom is a Polish volleyball club from Radom that plays in the PlusLiga .
history
The club was founded in 1921 as KS Czarni Radom by athletes from Radomiak Radom . Two years later the association was subordinated to the military and was named WKS Czarni Radom . After only football was initially played in the club, more and more sports were added in the following years. In 1957 the club registered a men's volleyball team for the championship. The team based at the Military Aviation School only played one season in Kielce Class A, where they finished second. After that, the team was logged off from play until the club reported a team again in 1965. 1979 rose the team under coach Jan Skorżyński in the second Polish league. Five years later, he was promoted to the Ekstraklasa, Poland's highest volleyball league. In 1994 they finished third in the championship for the first time and this success was repeated in 1995. In 1987 they finished second in the Polish Cup. In 1997 they founded a pure volleyball club and changed the club name to Warka Strong Club WKS Czarni Radom. After four years the team was named Nordea WKS Czarni Radom . In April 2002 the team's license was withdrawn after the sponsor Nordea's obligations were not met. Only one year later, on October 6, 2003, the association was officially dissolved.
In 2007 the club was re-established as RCS Radom and the road to success started again. After the 2011/12 season one reached under coach Wojciech Stępień promotion to the second division. In 2013 he was promoted to the PlusLiga . In connection with this, the name was changed to Cerrad Czarni Radom .
