D'Brickashaw Ferguson Montgomery (* 10. December 1983 in New York City , New York ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of the center . He played his entire career for the New York Jets in the National Football League (NFL).

Early years

Ferguson went to high school in Freeport , New York . He later went to the University of Virginia .

NFL

Ferguson was selected fourth in the first round by the New York Jets in the 2006 NFL Draft . Here he played until the 2015 season . He started every game in his ten years with the Jets (160). After the 2009 , 2010 and 2011 seasons , he was nominated for the Pro Bowl .

Personal

Ferguson's first name is based on a character from the novel The Thorn Birds .

In his hometown of Freeport, a street was called D'Brickashaw Ferguson Way in 2009 .
