Dámaso Alfonso
Dámaso Alfonso ( Dámaso Luis Alfonso Reyes; born December 11, 1951 in Matanzas ) is a former Cuban hurdler and sprinter . In 1975 he won bronze in the 400m hurdles and silver in the 4 x 400 meter relay at the Pan American Games in Mexico City . At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, he was each seventh over 400 m hurdles and in the 4 x 400 meter relay . In 1977 he won the 400 m hurdles at the Central American and Caribbean Athletics Championships and was seventh at the World Cup in Athletics in Düsseldorf .
