Dárvin Chávez (born November 21, 1989 in Zapopan , Jalisco ) is a Mexican football player on the position of defender .

career

Born in Zapopan Chavez began his career at in the neighboring city of Guadalajara -based club Atlas of Guadalajara , where he also his first professional contract was awarded. After he had spent a season (2007/08) in his second team Académicos Tonalá , he made the jump to the first team in summer 2008.

In 2011 he moved to CF Monterrey , with whom he won the CONCACAF Champions League in 2012 and 2013 .

After four years with the Rayados , Chávez moved to the Tiburones Rojos Veracruz , with whom he won the Mexican Cup competition in the 2016 Clausura .

National team

Chavez was used in all three games of the Mexican national team at the 2011 Copa America , all of which the Mexicans lost and thus finished in last place in the group of the preliminary round.

His next tournament with the Mexican U-23 selection , with which he won the soccer tournament of the 2012 Summer Olympics , went better .
