Dávid Halász (born September 8, 1986 in Košice , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC 46 Bardejov in the Slovak 1st division since 2009 .

Career

Dávid Halász began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth division of HC Košice , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Slovakian extra league in the 2001/02 season . For the time being, however, this was his only senior assignment, as the defender was active in the Canadian Junior League Ontario Hockey League for the Ottawa 67’s , Oshawa Generals and London Knights from 2003 to 2006 .

For the 2006/07 season, the left-handed shooter received a contract with the reigning Slovak champion MsHK Žilina , for which he was also used in both games of the group stage of the IIHF European Champions Cup . Then Halász spent two seasons at Žilina's league rivals HK Nitra before he was committed to his home club HC Košice for the 2009/10 season . However, he did not receive any missions at HC Košice and has since played for its cooperation partner HC 46 Bardejov in the second-class first division .
