Découvertes Gallimard ( [dekuvɛʁt ɡalimaːʁ] ; literally "Discoveries Gallimard"; in Germany: Adventure History ) is a paperback series by the French publisher Éditions Gallimard . Theseries, rich in images, deals with history , archeology , culture , art , religion and science from antiquity to modern times for children and young people.

The publisher Pierre Marchand invented the series for the Paris publisher Éditions Gallimard. The first volume dealt with Ancient Egypt and was published in November 1986. The series was a great success and one or two new titles appeared monthly. To date, over 700 books by over 500 authors have been published (as of 2017). Various volumes have been translated into more than 20 languages. In Germany, the Ravensburger Buchverlag Otto Maier published 51 pieces as an adventure story from 1990 to 1995 .
