Désirée Ladwig

Désirée H. Ladwig (born December 18, 1964 ) is a German economist .

Education and academic career

Désirée Ladwig attended the Harksheide grammar school in Norderstedt (Schleswig-Holstein). She studied business administration and economics at the University of Hamburg . This was followed by a degree in business administration (1989) and a degree in economics (1994).

From 1990 to 1995 Désirée Ladwig was a Research Associate (WMA) at the Institute for Human Resources and International Management at the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg . She received her doctorate in 1995 on the subject of "Research and development cooperation in small and medium-sized companies - an empirical and conceptual contribution to the process management of R&D cooperation" and then became a scientific assistant (WA). In 2002 she was appointed to the SRH Hochschule Berlin and appointed professor for life under the Berlin University Act. There she was u. a. responsible for the management of the business administration course and the development of master’s courses. Since 2008 she has been professor for general management, international management and human resource management at the Lübeck University of Applied Sciences in the mechanical engineering and economics department . From 2011 to 2016 she developed and headed the Career Development Center (CDC) at the Lübeck University of Applied Sciences.

Professional Practice

Since 1995 Ladwig has been working as a management consultant in the areas of personnel, organization and corporate management. She has carried out a large number of consulting projects in business and public administration on topics such as employee surveys , personnel and organizational development , strategy development, corporate and management guidelines, flexible working hours / mobile time and career concepts . From 1997 to 2000 Désirée Ladwig headed the international network of experts “WorkLifeBALANCE” of the European Commission (DGV). She coordinates the “genderdax” Community of Practice. Her current research focus is Work Environment 4.0, Gender & Diversity Management, agile organizations, swarm concepts, innovative work (time) models and career models / specialist careers .
