The Dögun - stjórnmálasamtök um réttlæti, sanngirni og lýðræði ( German : Dawn - Party for Justice, Fairness and Democracy , party letter T ) is a small party in Iceland .
history
The party was founded on March 18, 2012 through the merger of the parties Hreyfingin (The Movement), Borgarahreyfingin (Citizens' Movement) and Frjálslyndi flokkurinn (Liberal Party).
In the 2013 parliamentary election , the party received around 3.1 percent of the vote. So she failed at the five percent hurdle set for entry into the national parliament Althing . The party also took part in the parliamentary elections in 2016 and 2017 , but only received 1.7% (2016) and 0.05% (2017) of the vote and thus still could not move into the Althing.
program
In its program , the party advocates, among other things:
- the problem of the many over-indebted households to by the immediate abolition of the indexation of consumer loans and mortgages are solved
- the new constitution drawn up by the Constitutional Council in the previous legislative period is to be adopted
- more direct democracy through greater influence of the citizens on politics
- sustainable use of the state's own natural resources
- a strict separation of fishing and fish processing, as well as a fair and equal use of fish stocks by the population
- the aim is to ensure that all data collected by the authorities are made available to the public
