Dörte Poelzig

Dörte Poelzig (* 1978 in Cottbus ) is a German lawyer and professor at the University of Leipzig .

Life

Poelzig began studying law at the University of Dresden in 1997 , but later switched to the University of Konstanz , where she passed her first state examination in law in 2002. She then worked briefly as a research associate of Werner F. Ebke at the University of Konstanz before an MA at 2003 Merton College of the University of Oxford recorded. She graduated in 2004 with the title Magister Juris in European and Comparative Law and returned to Germany, where she completed her doctorate in the same year at Ebke. iur. completed. After the following legal traineeship at the Stuttgart Higher Regional Court , she passed her second state examination in 2006. From 2004 to 2008 Poelzig also worked in Konstanz as a research assistant for Hans Christian Röhl . In 2008 she switched to Ebke, who is now teaching at Heidelberg University , where she qualified as a professor in 2010. This was accompanied by the award of the venia legendi for the subjects civil law, commercial and economic law, civil procedural law, and comparative law.

In the 2011 summer semester, Poelzig held a chair at Heidelberg University. From the 2011/12 winter semester to the 2016/17 winter semester, she held the chair for civil law, German and international business law at the University of Passau , before moving to the chair for civil law, German and international business law at the University of Leipzig in the summer semester 2017.
