The Düden ( Turkish Düden Gölü ) is an inland lake east of Kulu in the Turkish province of Konya . It is one of the largest bird nesting sites in Turkey, e.g. B. of flamingos , mallards , geese and 172 other bird species that spend the summer here. 54 species of it nest here. The lake is 950 m above sea level and the area is 800 hectares . Since it is a groundwater lake, the amount of water and the area vary constantly.
To the east lies the 1500 km² salt lake Tuz Gölü .
