The Düren Sargfabrik is the largest German manufacturer of coffins and is based in the industrial area of Pier in the district of Düren , North Rhine-Westphalia . The managing directors are the brothers Thomas Theiselmann and Tobias Theiselmann.

history

The company was founded in 1930 by Karl Jacobs and Joachim Decker. In the same year, Peter Klinkhammer joined the company as a third partner. In 1972 the company was rebuilt at its current location between Düren and Jülich . In the following years, the shareholders bought several other coffin factories or founded new ones. The last new establishment was the Mecklenburg Sargfabrik in Gielow in 1991, today a sister company of the Düren Sargfabrik. In 1993 the subsidiary Rakmily in Mimoň (CZ) was added, which was sold at the end of 2007. The last purchase was the Brune Vollholz company in Bispingen in 1999, which is no longer part of the corporate group.

After restructuring, the Düren coffin factory now has 47 employees. At the Inden-Pier location, in addition to product development and overall sales, the group's central logistics are now located. So far, an average of 40,000 coffins have been produced each year. The company does not publish sales figures. In addition to the manufacture of coffins, the Düren coffin factory also deals with urns, accessories, ceiling fittings, etc.
