Dürrweitzschen is a village in the Saxon district of Central Saxony in Germany .

Politically, the place has belonged to Zschaitz-Ottewig since 1993 . It is located on State Road 32 between Schallhausen and Meila .

history

Dürrweitzschen was first mentioned in 1334 as "Wicschen prope Trizcow". Further mentions were:

On January 1, 1952 Auterwitz and on January 1, 1962 Ottewig were incorporated into Dürrweitzschen. On March 1, 1994, the then independent communities Dürrweitzschen and Zschaitz merged to form the community of Zschaitz-Ottewig .
